Living in an area with hard water can mean that all appliances that deal with hot water will be subject to limescale. Limescale is the chalky white residue you can see on the inside of your kettle. If your Uccello Kettle has limescale it can mean that it now needs to work harder to boil water.
Limescale is a silent killer, for your appliance and your pocket. To help you descale your kettle, we would recommend using Oust descaler. It’s quick, easy, and will take 10 minutes.
Descaling Your Uccello Kettle With Oust
- Half fill your Uccello Kettle with water and put onto boil.
- Unplug it and bring the body to the kitchen sink.
- Pour your Oust sachet into the water and leave for 10 minutes.
- Rinse and boil again with clean water.
- Rinse one last time and voila. Good as new.
If you don’t have Oust at home, you can always make a white vinegar and let it sit in the kettle body to work its magic before rinsing clean.
